An interesting historical fact about Ireland

So earlier today the lot of us in Armagh, the arma-zing got a nice 2 hour history lesson from our resident Irish poet, Nyssa O’Mahony. As we listened to her historical presentation, some facts surprised me and I’m going to share them.

Did you know that Ireland is the 3rd largest island in Europe, and 20th in the world? Or how about it’s shocking population of 6.51 million, with 4.63m of which being in the Republic and 1.86m in Northern Ireland.  Now, Northern Ireland is part of the UK, while the “southern” part of Ireland is the Republic of Ireland and has it’s own government and own parliament since 1921!

So here were some interesting facts about Ireland I thought were kinda interesting. Feel free to let me know if you agree or disagree.
